World Class EAST
The HSHS EAST program and it's students are currently in the running for multiple prestigious awards at this year's EAST conference. EAST students Ella Pace and Maddie Scott's project  "Cerebral Studies", which utilizes 3D printing technology to recreate patient's brain tumors, is currently nominated as one of the overall top EAST projects of the year. Sophomore Miles Hermann is also nominated in that category for his Flood Mitigation project, which seeks to retain rain water to better regulate its flow and prevent major flooding. Miles is also nominated for two awards for his design pitch for the upcoming Bill Clinton Presentation Center, a brand new design for a possible campus: The awards are the Fay Jones architectural challenge, and the ArchiCAD design competition.
These students and their projects are part of a very select group of nominees, chosen from hundreds of projects from schools around the country. The nominations are the result of the student's own hard work and separate our EAST program from the hundreds of other schools attending the conference.
